The Downsize Dream Home
Moving to a new home always comes with challenges. For those who are longtime customers of Ed Kellum and accustomed to living in a home with state‑of‑the‑art audio, video, and Smart Home technology, leaving all that behind can be daunting. For many companies, that scenario could have caused tension and territorial posturing that would have delayed construction, or worse. But not with Ed Kellum. Elegance and Excellence
When the family decided to upgrade their audio/visual and Smart Home technology as part of their complete home renovation, they assumed their contractor and subcontractor were experienced enough to handle the design, installation, and programming of the electronics. They were not. It was then, that a chance meeting with Starpower CEO David Pidgeon changed the trajectory of their project.
At the time of their meeting, the couple’s home had been under construction for more than 18 months and their anxiety was rising. The family had two major events on the calendar in July and August when they would be entertaining large groups at their home, and not having the renovation finished wasn’t an option. They needed help and they needed it quickly.
The Overdue Update
For more than 25 years, one of our customers and his family had lived in the home they loved without upgrading it much at all. Built in 1995, the home had grown a little “dark and dingy” and the family noted it was high time they updated the “greens and browns” that were dating the home. Their desire was to have the entire home redone and that included a comprehensive technological upgrade to the most up‑to‑date audio, video, and Smart Home tech available.
For our client, it was an exciting opportunity to see their home transformed. And for the design, install, and programming team at Starpower, a chance to show the family all we as a company were capable of. As the most elite electronics team in the industry, Starpower has completed hundreds of builds of every size. But this one was one of our favorites because the before and after were so dramatically different. And by the end of the construction, it was also validation that Starpower remains the North Star in its industry.
Star Interiors Success
When our loyal client in Southlake, Texas came to us with a new home remodel down the street in Grapevine, we jumped at the opportunity. The job called for all of the Star Companies: Starpower (Frame TV), Ed Kellum (Appliances), StarFloors (Flooring) and Star Interior Resources (Cabinets, Countertops, Paint, Finishings).
This client's old kitchen was outdated and cramped, making it uninspiring and difficult to use. So, her new design had to transform her open‑plan room into a stylish, multifunctional area filled with top‑of‑the‑line appliances including her favorite in‑wall coffee maker from Jenn‑Air. It’s now the perfect place to entertain friends and family or unwind after a long day.
