Custom Home Theater vs. Backyard: Why a home theater is the best home upgrade

The summer is a time of home improvement projects, both inside and outside. During this time of the year, most people only think about outside upgrades to their homes. But who can blame them? It is sunny, warm and beautiful outside! So when it is time to do a home upgrade, what ideas run through your mind? Should I install a new underground pool, redesign the patio area, or install a home theater system?
Let’s take a look at why a home theater system is the perfect upgrade to your home.
First, the enjoyment from a home theater will last all year. In December when it is cold and snowing outside, you can be curled up in a blanket watching a movie. In April when it is humid and raining, you can be watching your favorite TV show. The temperature will always be just the way you want it in your home theater, no matter what season it is.
The upkeep on a home theater is far less. Once you have the system installed and the room set up the way you want it, there is no regular maintenance. With a pool you will be outside adding chemicals, testing the water, cleaning leaves out of it, etc. With an outside patio you will be cleaning the entire area every time it rains or is windy.
Movies are continuing to get more expensive, while more neighborhoods are including great pools and splash parks free for residents to use. With a home theater, you can have great picture and sound quality without paying $4 for a candy bar, $5 for a drink or small bag of popcorn, and $6 for a hot dog. Want some more great benefits? There will be no one around you talking, kicking the back of your chair, coughing or sneezing, or answering their cell phones. You will be in the comfort of your own home.
Everyone enjoys watching TV. People love movies, sporting events, reality TV shows; the list goes on and on. Not everyone enjoys putting on a swimming suit and sitting by the pool all day. When you have family and friends at your house for an evening gathering, not everyone enjoys sitting outside by the grill and being bothered by bugs. But everyone will enjoy coming to your house to watch the newest movie release or the latest sporting event.
